About this event

Join us in this fun and exciting interdisciplinary Holiday Camp exploring coordination skills through the vibrant art of K-pop dance with Balance Academy and get creative designing and crafting your unique dance wearables with DesignTinkers.

Balance Academy focuses on core and coordination training for the students through the K-pop dance program that encompasses rhythm, balance, adaptation, reaction, connection, "instantaneous learning," and expression.

To Promote Development of the Seven Abilities of Coordination Skill

Coordination ability undergoes rapid development during childhood, particularly during the Golden Age period (5-12yo) when the nervous system is in its prime stage of development. Engaging in physical activities during this critical phase significantly influences future motor skills. By exposing children to a variety of movements during this period thus establishes neural pathways throughout the body. Participation in coordination training also allows for the swift acquisition of diverse movements, including the remarkable ability to learn instantaneously, presenting a unique opportunity to grasp a wide range of movements quickly.

Ms Lynn Kee
Ms Lynn will be coaching students for the K-pop dance segment. Throughout her years of experience, Ms Lynn has worked with many students, from young children, to youths and adults, including Diverse Abilities Dance Collective dancers. Ms Lynn is an active competitor in the local freestyle scene. She has participated in numerous choreography and freestyle competitions, in both Singapore, and overseas, including Bali and South Korea. Some of her notable achievements include: Super24 Dance Competition (Tertiary Category) 1st Runner Up (2018), Tri Uni Battle Champion (2018), U25 Hip Hop Crew Battle Champion (2019), GS International Battle Ladies Freestyle Top 4 (2020), Hybrid Footwork Showcase Competition 1st Runner Up (2021), Ladies Call Hip Hop Dance Battle Champion (2015).
