Introducing children to sustainable materials, this workshop is specially devised in collaboration with the creative maker of jankycaps from ANKY Studio for Parents + Child to learn casting designs with Jesmonite, an eco-friendly material widely used in arts, crafts and architecture.  

During the 2.5-hour session, Parent + Child will learn the steps of Jesmonite casting to produce 3 unique architectural building models that are not only beautiful ornaments but are purposefully designed to function as a pen, card holder and a phone stand. Participants will get to choose the colours and learn to create the casting mixture before pouring it into a mould to create their Jesmonite models.

Model size: Approx 4 x 4 x 3.5cm. To cast 3 model designs in colours of your choice.

Jesmonite is considered durable, flame resistant, and resistant to impact. The finished composite emits no toxic fumes and the mixing process requires no harmful solvents making it safe for children to handle.

Parent + Child will have an educational and meaningful bonding session learning the properties of Jesmonite and its endless possibilities applied in design.
